“I've been taking my dog Teddy to Dr. Gabriel for several months now and I am very happy with the results. He was diagnosed with damage to a spinal disk and was advised to be on complete rest for weeks. With the permission/recommendation of the neurologist I decided to try acupuncture to help in his recovery. Dr. Gabriel consulted with his vet and his specialist throughout his visits, trying to keep everyone in the loop.
She is gentle, always taking care to make Teddy comfortable with any procedure, but she is thorough. She gradually built up his tolerance for the treatments so he felt little pain or discomfort. Teddy is happy to see her each time (and yes she has some tasty treats), and leaves feeling better than when he arrived. Her treatment space is calming and is all about the comfort of my dog. He has improved so much that he is seeing Dr. Gabriel on an as-needed basis now. I’m grateful for her care and attention to my Teddy.

“In September, 2022, my beautiful Bella became paralyzed in her hind legs - She could not stand up at all! I brought her to her veterinarian, and he gave her a cortisone shot and we returned home. Things were not improving and we returned to the veterinarian. At the time I felt there was little hope for Bella - her veterinarian discussed the option of going to a specialist for expensive surgery with no guarantee of success, I decided that it might be best to euthanize her.

The day came, she was on the table, and I had signed the paper, but I changed my mind and decided I had to try to save her.

“Our beautiful kitty, Lunetta, started to receive acupuncture treatment from Dr. Marya Gabriel in January 2022 and we continue to bring her to Dr. Gabriel about every two weeks. Lunetta is maturing and we thought acupuncture could assist her to grow older gracefully.

Since the 1st treatment, we saw immediately Dr. Gabriel’s sincere care for animals and her ability to treat Lunetta medically. She asks about Lunetta’s health and well-being before and during each treatment to ensure she understands Lunetta’s condition in order to provide appropriate treatment and offer ways we can continue the care at home, such as rubbing certain acupuncture points on Lunetta and adding herbal supplements to her diet.

After Dr. Gabriel greets us at the door when we arrive, Lunetta is welcomed to the treatment bed in a clean, relaxing treatment room. Also visually evident are Dr. Gabriel’s well-prepared notes listing Lunetta’s treatment for the day. Once Lunetta is placed on the bed, Dr. Gabriel helps Lunetta get comfortable and then begins to insert the acupuncture needles gently in Lunetta while talking to her in a calm and soothing manner and massaging her with tenderness. The massage continues throughout the treatment and Lunetta appears to enjoy what we refer to as her ‘spa’ treatment. When we return home after each treatment, Lunetta is noticeably more energetic with a spring in her step and more strength in her stance.
